consolidated link layer management (FR) (CLLM)

Consolidated Link Layer Management (CLLM) is an ANSI-defined procedure for frame relay congestion notification.

The CLLM procedure can be used in conjunction with Backward Explicit Congestion Notification( BECN) and Forward Explicit Congestion Notification( FECN) and is used to inform the sender of the utilization of the transmission link in unidirectional operation. CLLM enables the receiving station to generate its own data packets and send them to the transmitter.
