constant light output (smart city) (CLO)

The brightness of street lighting decreases during its service life due to age. In smart cities, this drop in brightness is readjusted by appropriate management software so that the light output remains constant over time. The technology is called Constant Light Output (CLO).

The brightness is adjusted using the lumen decrease curve for the street lamps. The decrease curve indicates how much the brightness needs to be increased or dimmed. The CLO algorithm takes into account the age of the lamp or lighting element.
