content protection system architecture (CPSA)

The Content Protection System Architecture (CPSA) is a proposal by the 4C Group for a system architecture to protect copyrighted content, primarily of audio and video, against unauthorized copying.

The 4C Group, consisting of IBM, Intel, Matsushita, and Toshiba, is working on copy protection in collaboration with the Content Protection Technical Working Group( CPTWG).

A complete Content Protection System Architecture (CPSA) includes High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection( HDCP) and Content Protection for Recordable Media( CPRM).
