control unit terminal (SNA) (CUT)

Control Unit Terminal (CUT) is a component from the SNA world. With this communication principle from the 3270 world, only one terminal at a time can access the host via the control unit. This contrasts with the Distributed Function Terminal( DFT), which can access the host simultaneously together with other terminals.
