cooperation for OSI networking in Europe (COSINE)

Cooperation for OSI Networking in Europe (COSINE) is a European initiative of a communication network to connect the different national research networks and companies in Europe. Cosine was launched by Réseaux Associés pour la Recherche Européen ( RARE) and uses only protocols based on the OSI reference model. The RARE project was already terminated in 1994.
