core based tree (Routing) (CBT)
Core Based Tree (CBT) is a method for creating tree structures for routing. The Core Based Tree creates a bidirectional multicast tree based on rendezvous points. In this spanning tree method, the sender operates in the direction of the receivers but also in the reverse direction.
Core Based Tree (CBT) is described in RFCs 2201 and 2189 in versions 1 and 2, while version 3 is available as a proposal.
