cost per action (advertising) (CPA)
Cost per action (CPA) is a billing model for the costs incurred by an online advertisement. It is the cost with which a desired action is triggered.
Since the goal of online advertising does not necessarily have to be sales generation, but can have many aspects, the costs per action are directed at the costs that are incurred when, for example, the prospective customer participates in a sweepstake, when he orders an e-mail newsletter, or when he requests documentation about the services or products offered. If the goal of the campaign is exclusively to generate leads, the costs per lead ( CPL) are used.
