customer data integration (data management) (CDI)

Customer Data Integration (CDI) is used to consolidate and manage customer information. This involves all the information available about a customer from a wide variety of information sources. This includes the customer's basic data such as age, gender, address or mail address, purchasing behavior, details from contacts, conversation notes and other information collected and evaluated.

The CDI concept, which is part of Customer Relationship Management( CRM), ensures that customer information is used optimally by all departments of a company. To this end, Customer Data Integration (CDI) ensures that all relevant departments can access customer data.

Since customer data can change, for example their place of residence or their employer, the CDI concept must ensure constant updating. Data that is not updated quickly enough can become outdated and usually can no longer be used for marketing-specific activities.
