data offset (TCP) (DAO)
The Data Offset(DAO) field in the TCP header indicates how many 32-bit words are in the TCP header. Since the options are variable in length, you need this field to describe the beginning of the user data in the corresponding segment.
The TCP header always has a multiple of 32 with its options. If there are no options, the value of the offset is equal to 5.
