data signalling rate (DSR)
The data signaling rate, Date Signalling Rate ( DSR), is the composite data rate at which data is transmitted in a transmission line or transmission system.
The data signaling rate is specified in bits per second (bit/s) or in baud and increases with the number of channels and the modulation method. It depends on the type of transmission, and whether it is serial or parallel. In addition, the synchronization techniques and the encodings play a role.
