A dead link is also called a broken link or dead link. It is an external link or an internal link that goes nowhere.
A dead link is a broken link; one whose source code may be faulty, whose target page, whose web server is down, or whose Internet address has been changed. Even if the web server is down or unreachable, this results in dead links. Dead links affect the search of the websites by search engines.

The terms Broken-Links and Bad-Links are used synonymously with Dead-Links. The various search engines recognize dead links and ensure that they are automatically deleted from their databases.
