diagnostic link connector (automotive) (DLC)
A diagnostic connector( DLC) is a plug-in device that is installed in automotive technology for diagnostic purposes.
The diagnostic connector is used to connect the CAN bus and the diagnostic device. The Society of Automotive Engineers( SAE) has defined two diagnostic connectors: Type A and Type B of J1962. Vehicles with on- board diagnostics( OBD) have a 16- pin diagnostic connector.
