digital audio radio service (DARS)

The Digital Audio Radio Service (DARS) is a concept for terrestrially transmitted or satellite-based digital broadcasting. The DARS system transmits in the S-band at 2.3 GHz and is intended to transmit up to 50 broadcast channels.
