directivity

The directional factor is a characteristic value of antennas, which is determined from the ratio of the radiation of an anisotropic directional antenna to the isotropic radiation of an omnidirectional antenna.

Directionalantennas have distinct radiation patterns with one main radiation direction. Omnidirectional antennas, on the other hand, radiate in all directions with the same radiation density. The ratio of the radiation density of a directional antenna or parabolic antenna in its main lobe and the omnidirectional radiation intensity of an omnidirectional radiator results in the directional factor.
