electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS)
Electromagnetic susceptibility(EMS) is the ability of electronic components, assemblies, modules and devices to react to electromagnetic interference and the extent to which their functionality is impaired.
Electromagnetic Susceptibility is the tolerance of electronic circuits and components to electromagnetic interference fields that are fed into the circuits by conductors or by means of electromagnetic irradiation.
In the case of conducted susceptibility ( CS), the interference radiation is induced into the equipment via the power cable, signal lines and input/output lines. In the case of radiated susceptibility ( RS), the radiation is induced by unshielded or poorly shielded housing parts.
