electronic magazin (eZine)

An electronic magazine (e-zine) is comparable to a magazine printed on paper, but it is only available in electronic form.

Electronic magazines fulfill similar criteria to a printed newspaper in terms of topicality, their content focus, target group definition, regular publication frequency, editorial contributions and online advertising.

E-zines are often a direct conversion of the corresponding print medium and thus do not live up to their claim as an electronic online medium. They can be published in HypertextMarkup Language( HTML) on websites, are sent to e-mail addresses via distribution lists, and are used to help sell printed journals. They provide incentives to buy in an up-to-date short form.
