elementary stream clock reference (ATSC) (ESCR)

InMPEG-2, there are two types of timestamps: the Reference Timestamp and the Decode Timestamp(DTS) and Presentation Time Stamp( PTS).

As for the reference timestamps, the Elementary Stream Clock Reference (ESCR) is used in the Packetized Elementary Stream ( PES), the Stream Clock Reference ( SCR) is used in the Program Stream( PS), and the Program Clock Reference( PCR) is used when transporting data packets.

The Elementary Stream Clock Reference (ESCR) belongs to the timestamps of the Packetized Elementary Stream (PES) in digital TV. The decoders derive their reference time from this time stamp.
