end of frame sequence (MAC) (EFS)

End of Frame Sequence (EFS) refers to the two data fields Ending Delimiter ( ED) and Frame Status( FS) that terminate the FDDI token. The End Delimiter, Ending Delimiter, consists of a symbol and identifies the token end or the frame end. It indicates whether it is the first or the nth packet of a data sequence. The status field, Frame Status (FS), comprises three bytes and is used for error detection, destination address detection or frame copy detection.
