extended address (EA)

An Extended Address (EA) refers to an address field ofFrame-Relay with which the address structure can be extended from the default of 2 bytes to 3 or 4 bytes. If the Extended Address is zero (EA = 0), this indicates that further addresses follow, EA = 1 indicates that this is the last address byte.
