extensible access method (XAM)

The aim of the Extensible Access Method (XAM) is to provide a standardized storage interface and standardized metadata for communication with object-based storage systems for storage applications. The Storage Networking Industry Association ( SNIA) has taken up this topic and will contribute its own proposals to the development.
