Fiber to the Cabinet (FTTCab) is a fiber optic connection technology in which the fiber is routed in the connection area to the cable distribution frame(KVz).

There, the signal is converted via the optical network unit( ONU) and further transmission to the subscriber line takes place via copper cable. The cabinet solution (FTTCab) corresponds to Fiber to the Curb( FTTC) and offers 64 to 128 broadband accesses and transmission speeds in the upstream and downstream of 25 Mbit/s.
