fiber to the desk (FTTD)

FTTD technology is a fiber-optic connection technology in which the optical fiber is routed from the local exchange to the workplace.

With FTTD technology, the optical fiber can be routed to the junction box or directly to the end device.

With this type of connection technology, the user has a high bandwidth available at the workplace via which all services and applications can be transmitted. The FTTD solution can be segmented and scaled and is subject to small length restrictions in the in-house area; it is also immune to interference radiation.
