fibre attached technology adapted (FATA)

FATA drives are hard disk drives for Fibre Channel ( FC). They use mechanical components of Advanced Technology Attachment ( ATA) hard disk drives, but with an upstream FC interface. FATA technology has the advantage that they can be operated in a mix with other FC drives and that FATA drives are more cost-effective than other FC drives.
