firewall enhancement protocol (FEP)

In order to circumvent the port-based filtering by firewalls, the data can be transmitted in an HTTP tunnel using the Firewall Enhancement Protocol (FEP). Since HTTP is always enabled due to the transport of web pages, the TCP/ IP data to be transmitted can be translated and transferred in HPPT packets.
