flexible OLED (FOLED)

A flexible Organic Light Emitting Diode (FOLED) is an OLED display that is applied to flexible base material. This can be a transparent film, flexible plastic or a metallized foil.

Such flexible OLED displays can be rolled and folded. FOLED displays have the same properties as OLEDs: they are self-illuminating, bright and have a wide color spectrum. They are also lightweight and non-fragile, as they do not have a substrate or glass plate as a base material.

FOLEDs can be integrated into clothing, used on uneven surfaces as bendable displays, or applied to display walls and advertising columns.
