flow control digit (Flit)

In network technology, a flit is a flow control digit for flow control.

Such a flit is a data packet on the network layer. A flow control unit is divided into the flit header with the destination address and the routing information. This also defines the route of the data packet. This is followed by the user data and, as the last part of the flit, the tail flit, which is used to implement the connection between the two nodes.
