Printers print individual letters as dot matrix or as fully formed characters located on type wheels, ball heads or type levers. Such fully formed characters are called Fully Formed Characters(FFC). The flexibility of FFC printing is relatively limited, since font sizes or boldness levels cannot be freely selected.
