gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK)

Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) is a shift keying method that operates as Minimum Shift Keying( MSK) and is supplemented by an upstream Gaussian filter.

GMSK modulation

GMSK modulation

GSMK modulation is used for DECT, GSM and Bluetooth Low Energy( BLE), among others. It is comparable to phase shift keying, works with two states and can transmit one symbol per bit. A variant of Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GSMK) is Phase Shift Keying( PSK), which operates as 4PSK or 8PSK. The latter is used in Enhanced General Packet Radio Service( EGPRS).
