giga scale integration (IC) (GSI)
Giga Scale Integration (GSI) is the IC technology with currently the highest concentration of transistors, bas means the highest integration density.
GSI chips have more than one hundred million (`gt10^8`) up to one billion (`10^9`) transistors per chip. Corresponding integrated circuits operate with structure widths of 50 nm and below.
