gimp toolkit (GTK)

Gimp Toolkit (GTK) is a GNUlibrary for creating graphical user interfaces(GUI) programmed in the graphicsprogram Gimp. It is one of the most popular GUI toolkits, which succeeded Motif. GTK or GTK+ is preferred wherever Gnome is developed. Incontrast, Qt and PyQt are used in K desktop environments. Various tools exist for designing graphical user interfaces with GTK, and there are countless open source programs that can serve as examples. Unfortunately GTK does not fit optically under Windows one hundred percent into the standard surface and must be installed also afterwards.
