global individual asset identifier (EPC) (GIAI)

The Electronic Product Code(EPC) recognizes several EPC identities defined by the European Article Number( EAN) and the Uniform Code Council( UCC). The GIAI code (Global Individual Asset Identifier) identifies inventoryable goods that are necessary for operations, such as capital goods like desks, production machines or personal computers(PCs).
