granularity
In computer science, granularity is the level of detail with which functions and activities are subdivided in relation to the action as a whole. The granularity can refer to data sets from documents, texts or graphics, but also to memory, security measures, programs or data transmission, whose granularity is coarser or finer due to the length and number of data packets.
