The specifications of the standardized compact discs (CD) are defined in color-coded CD books. The Green Book forms the standard for Compact Disc Interactive ( CD-I), the interactive CD format. This format, developed by Philips and standardized in 1987, can contain data, graphics, video and audio and can be interactive.
