The video surveillance( CCTV) knows the analog and digital recording and transmission technology of the video recordings in normal and high resolution, with the trend going to high-definition video: to High Definition Television( HDTV) with 720p and Full HD with 1,080p. The requirements for these resolutions are realized through High Definition Serial Digital Interface( HD-SDI) and High Definition Composite Video Interface (HDCVI).

HDVCI is a method in which the surveillance videos are displayed with progressive scan with 720 and 1080lines. The uncompressed transmission takes place without delay via a coaxial cable such as the RG-59 cable. Alternatively, the data can also be transmitted via two-core UTP cable or STP cable. The bridgeable distance is very large and reaches up to 650 m. This means that HDCVI can also be used in large industrial plants with fixed cameras and PTZ cameras, Pan Tilt Zoom. The method is relatively resistant to interference. In addition to video, HDCVI also transmits audio signals and PTZ data for panning and rotating the cameras. The audio and control signals are transmitted in the blanking intervals of the video signal.
