In the technology of local broadband networks, there were various split procedures, for the frequency separation of the forward and reverse channels in single- cable broadband systems.

In the highsplit method, the frequency range for the forward direction was between 234 MHz and 400 MHz, and between 5 MHz and 174 MHz for the reverse direction. The usable bandwidth was 335 MHz.
