iCloud Drive

iCloud Drive is a standard backup and synchronization feature of Apple 's iOS mobile operating system as of version 8 from fall 2014.

With iCloud Drive, documents and files can be stored in iCloud and accessed from the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Macintosh, or a personal computer. iCloud Drive requires an Apple Macintosh with an operating system running Mac OS X 10.10(Yosemite) or later, or a Windows PC running Windows 7 or later.

Individual files can be edited with multiple apps and on different devices without having to copy or import them between hardware. To upload files to iCloud, they are moved to the iCloud Drive icon, making them available on iCloud-enabled apps on iOS-enabled devices. Since changes to a file appear on all devices, iCloud Drive provides access to the latest version of the documents.
