Inclination of a satellite orbit

Inclination of a satellite orbit

The inclination is the angle of inclination of a satellite orbit with respect to the equator. The inclination is an important aspect in satellite communication and satellite navigation, as reception can be impaired by earth elevations or high-rise buildings if the inclination angle is low. GEO satellites have an orbital inclination of 0°; for satellites with polar orbits, the orbital inclination is greater than 60°.
