indium (In)

Indium (In) is a chemical element that has atomic number 49 in the periodic table of elements. It belongs to the III. Main group and has 3 electrons on the outer electron shell.

Indium is silvery white and occurs in nature about as often as silver. It is used in combination with other elements such as gallium( Ga), arsenic( As), aluminum (Al), phosphorus (P) and tin (Sn) in semiconductor technology, in compound semiconductors, photodiodes, light-emitting diodes, photodetectors, LCD displays, flat screens and touch screens.
