integrated digital television (IDTV)

An Integrated Digital Television (IDTV or iTDV) is a television set with a built-in digital receiver and tuner for DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S or other digital TV methods.

In addition to digital TV, an IDTV television set can also display analog TV according to the PAL television standard, NTSC or SECAM.

Many IDTV televisions are not designed for pay TV or with decryption modules. IDTV platforms can be equipped with a return channel and are therefore suitable for interactive television. There are also IDTV televisions that are equipped with video cassette recorders( VCR) or personalvideorecorders( PVR) and are operated with only one remote control.
