lifelogging

Lifelogging means as much as the recording of human activities. In lifelogging, all activities of the entire life or a large period of time are documented and recorded by the lifelogger.

The technology of lifelogging is based on smart wearables and uses miniature cameras that take photos at regular time intervals and store them in a larger data storage via the smartphone. The technology is not entirely new; it was implemented in the 1990s using wearable webcams. The current approach uses miniaturized digital cameras with high resolution that can be clipped to clothing instead of webcams. Depending on the functionality of the lifelogger, lifelogging can include geographic data from a GPS module in addition to photos.

As more advanced scenarios for lifelogging, one can imagine video recordings instead of individual photos, or 360-degree recordings with multiple wearable cameras. Of course, the technology of lifelogging is supported by corresponding apps.
