local directory number (LDN)

The Local Directory Number (LDN) is used for routing voice calls. The LND number is required in conjunction with the Service Profile Identifier ( SPID) for the American Basic Rate Interface ( BRI). Only in conjunction with the LDN number can incoming calls be received on the second B channel.
