low band

In satellite transmission, low band refers to the lower frequency range of the Ku band between 10.7 GHz and 11.7 GHz.

Frequency ranges for satellite transmission of analog TV and digital TV.

Frequency ranges for satellite transmission of analog TV and digital TV.

Analog television is mostly transmittedin this frequency range. However, like the frequency range above it, the high band, it can also be used for digital TV.

Since the gigahertz frequencies of the low band, like those of the high band, can only be transmitted to a limited extent via high-frequency cables, the low-band frequency range is mixed by means of a local oscillator frequency( LOF) of 9.75 GHz in the LNB converter to an intermediate frequency of 950 MHz to 1.950 GHz and fed to the satellite receiver.
