Man-machine communication reflects the interaction of people with a technical system. Humans use the technical possibilities provided by a system to solve their tasks. A decisive aspect is the transfer of human information to the machine, which is realized by the user interface, the Human Machine Interface( HMI).

It is about the way the human transfers his instructions to the machine so that they can be executed by the machine( computer).

The communicative possibilities between man and machine are extremely diverse. They range from text input, activation of graphic symbols and speech recognition to gesture recognition. The previous input possibilities for the commands to be executed are realized by technical input devices such as keyboard, mouse, touchpad, touch screen, microphone, data glove, video camera, and various other input devices.

The more advanced technology relies on intelligent voice control, on digital voice assistants. Such voice assistance systems can answer questions, execute control commands in the smart home - "Dim the lights" - select music tracks on the Internet, take over functions of remote controls or control the car.
