master file (chipcard) (MF)

Master File(MF) is the root directory in the file structure of smart cards. The master file forms the base file for the hierarchical file structure and contains the access conditions. After each reset of the chip card, the Master File is called up automatically. The Master File (MF) can optionally also contain the Dedicated File( DF) and the Elementary File( EF).
