mean time to repair (MTTR)

The Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) or Mean Time to Recover (MTTR) is the average repair time or recovery time.

The Mean Time to Repair is the time to detect a fault, identify it and replace the defective electronic part or component. It is the length of time between the occurrence of a fault in a device or system and the repair of the fault. MTTR time, which is used not only in device and system engineering but also in industry and manufacturing, should be as close to zero as possible. The lower it is, the better the reliability and availability of the systems.
