Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) is a development, management and testing platform for mobile device application programs.

On the MEAP platform, the enterprise programs for mobile devices can be created and managed for different laptop, tablet and smartphone operating systems. This has the advantage of eliminating the need to write codes for the different operating systems. Administrators can use the management platform to assign users access to specific application programs and to databases.

As a development platform, MEAP supports mobile applications and back-end web services with which these applications can be linked to and managed by enterprise programs with databases. Unlike Mobile Device Management( MDM), which is about managing the mobile devices, Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) is about managing the enterprise applications running on those devices.
