module I/O (MIO)

Module-I/O (MIO) is an expansion interface for single board computers developed by the company Avantech. Compared to others such as PC/104, this 160- pin interface MIO-160 is characterized by a higher compactness, which is due to the smaller pitch of 0.8 mm. The connector transmits the signals of the PCI bus, PCI Express, LPC bus, System Management Bus ( SMBus), USB interface as well as audio and video signals. It is specified for frequencies up to 9 GHz.
