monitoring as a ervice (cloud computing) (MaaS)
Cloud services are divided into three levels. The lowest level is infrastructure-based, the middle level is platform-based, and the upper level is software-based. These three levels are overlapped by the two cloud services Monitoring-as-a-Service(MaaS) and Security-as-a-Service( SaaS).
Monitoring-as-a-Service can be bundled as a management and monitoring service with other cloud services such as Platform-as-a-Service( PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service ( IaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
The MaaS concept includes application management and monitoring, fault detection and recovery, computing and storage activities, alerting when a fault occurs, capacity adjustments, recording usage times, etc. MaaS thus complements the company's own business model and contributes to cost reduction in cloud computing.
