multi choice precoding (MCP)

Multi Choice Precoding(MCP) is a radio transmission technique that exploits echoes and reflections of radio waves off buildings or ground elevations.

In normal radio transmission, many radio waves travel directly from the transmitter to the receiver, while others are reflected off buildings or topographical features and reach the receiver with a time delay, causing interference. In contrast to common wave networks where diversity techniques are used at the receiving end, Multi Choice Precoding (MCP) compensates for frequency distortions at the transmitting end. This has the advantage that the receiving equipment does not require special compensation techniques for processing the received frequencies and thus consumes less power and can be manufactured at lower cost.
