multi link trunk (Ethernet) (MLT)

The Multi LinkTrunk (MLT) is specified in IEEE 802.3ad. It is used to execute point-to-point connections in Ethernet redundantly and to equip such connections with higher bandwidths. The connection should be made via different physical transmission media, which are then logically combined to form an MLT connection. Multi Link Trunks can be controlled via the Link Aggregation Control Protocol( LACP).
